Departmental team Nepal Police Club defeated Koshi Pradesh by 6 wickets in a match held in Birgunj on Tuesday under the Prime Minister's Cup National Men's Cricket Tournament. Police Club, which won the toss and elected to field first, performed well and achieved an easy victory. Batting first, Koshi Pradesh scored 162 runs in the stipulated 42.5 overs. Sujan Thapaliya and Suman Shrestha contributed 48 runs and 43 runs for Koshi. Dinesh Kharel of Police performed well and took 5 wickets in 7 overs and gave 21 runs in 5 balls. He also bowled 2 overs. Sagar Dhakal took 2 wickets in 10 overs and gave 14 runs. Police, chasing a target of 163 runs, won by scoring 165 runs in 33 overs and losing 4 wickets. Police's Arif Sheikh played a brilliant innings of 81 runs not out in 79 balls. Rashid Khan played an important role in Police's victory by scoring 73 runs not out in 90 balls.
