Boxer Abiral Ghimire has won the ‘K One Cross 188 Kick Boxing Championship’ title. Known worldwide as ‘Himalaya Chituwa’ in the boxing world, he is also the first Nepali player to set a world record by winning the ‘K One Cross’ title twice.
In the competition held in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday, Himalaya Chituwa defeated his Japanese competitor Riku by knockout and defended his ‘title belt’ title for the second time. ‘K One Cross 188 Kick Boxing Championship’ is considered the highest competition in the boxing world.
According to Himalaya Chituwa’s father and boxer Dev Ghimire, Abiral was able to knock out Japanese player Riku in the second minute of the third round of the competition.
Himalaya Chituwa has been playing through the world-famous and prestigious ‘Hit Kick Boxing’ Club in Tokyo, Nagoya. So far, he has defended his title in hit kickboxing three times, won four hit kick boxing title matches, the International Kickboxing Association (IKA) title, and the Keyvan Cross 175 title.
In addition, he has participated in 25 international competitions so far, winning 19 of them and is the first Nepali boxer to win 18 by knockout. In addition, he has created new history by becoming the first Nepali boxer to win such titles.
