Rolpa and Bardiya have won the Lumbini Province-level men's and women's kabaddi competitions organized by the Sports Council Lumbini in Ghorahi. Rolpa won the men's category and Bardiya won the women's category.

In the final match held on Tuesday under the 3-day competition organized in Ghorahi, Rolpa, which won first in the men's category, received a cash prize of Rs 80,000, a trophy and a certificate. Nawalparasi West, which came second, received a cash prize of Rs 50,000, and Rupandehi and Dang, which came third, received a prize of Rs 15,000 each and a certificate.

In the men's category, Sohan Singh Budha Magar of Rolpa has been awarded the best player and received a prize of Rs 10,000. Rahul Aryal of Nawalparasi has been awarded the best defender and Riya Judhin Mia has been awarded the best raider and received a prize of Rs 5,000 each.

Bardiya, which won first in the women's category, received a cash prize of Rs 80,000, a trophy and a certificate. Similarly, Nawalparasi West, which came second, received a prize of Rs 50,000, while Banke and Gulmi, who came third, received a prize of Rs 15,000 each and a certificate.

In the women's category, Asoni Tharu of Bardiya was named the best player and received Rs 10,000. Pooja Chaudhary of Nawalparasi and Khushi Gharti of Bardiya were named the best defender and received Rs 5,000 each as the best raider, said Tirandaj Gautam, member secretary of the Provincial Sports Council, Lumbini.
