The match against Hong Kong is now also unlikely to take place amid the ANFA early election controversy, the clash between ANFA and the National Sports Council, and the postponement of the men's national league and the women's Martyrs' Memorial League.

The friendly international match between Nepal and Hong Kong scheduled for Chaitra 12 has been canceled on Sunday. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has issued a press release stating that the match scheduled to be held at the Dasharath Stadium has now been postponed.
Amidst the ANFA's early election controversy, the clash between ANFA and the National Sports Council, and the postponement of the men's national league and women's Martyrs' Memorial League, the match against Hong Kong will not be held.
ANFA said, 'We had sought approval from the NAF through a letter dated Falgun 10 for the stadium and its playing field for the friendly match. On Chaitra 3, we had sent a letter to provide floodlights, scoreboard and other infrastructure for the match. However, the match has been postponed as the NAF did not accept ANFA's request and the approval to conduct the match.'
