Brightland School and New Horizon Sports Club won the second day of the ‘Campa’ Kohalpur Pride League National T-20 Cricket Tournament.
In the first match of the second day of the tournament, Brightland School Nepalgunj defeated SPA College Dhangadhi, and in the second match, New Horizon Sports Club defeated Kohalpur Sports Academy.
In the first match of the second day of the tournament, SPA College Dhangadhi won the toss and invited Brightland School Nepalgunj to bowl first. Choosing to bat first, SPA College Dhangadhi scored 146 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
For the team, Neeraj Iyer scored 44 runs in 23 balls and Sagar Saud scored a career-high 44 in 27 balls, while Harish Ball managed to score 27 runs in 26 balls. For SPA, the other batters could not reach double figures.

New Horizon Sports Club defeated Kohalpur Sports Academy in the second match of the second day. New Horizon Sports Club won the match after winning the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, New Horizon Sports Club scored 198 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Arif Khan scored the highest score of 64 runs in 34 balls for the team. Similarly, Captain Kushal Malla scored an unbeaten 36 runs in 19 balls, Bashir Ahmed scored 34 runs in 28 balls and Amar Mishra scored 20 runs in 11 balls.
Similarly, in the bowling department, Diwan Pun and Shidantraj Shahi of Kohalpur Sports took 2 wickets each while Lovekush Yadav took one wicket. The other bowlers remained wicketless.
Chasing the target of 199 runs set by New Horizon Sports Club, Kohalpur Sports were all out for 164 runs in 19.5 overs. Arjun Gharti and Diwan Pun scored the highest score of 43 runs for the team. The other batsmen of Kohalpur Sports failed to put together a good partnership and lost by 34 runs.
Bashir Ahmed was declared the 'Player of the Match' after taking five crucial wickets to lead New Horizon Sports Club to victory. He also became the first player to take five wickets in a single match in this tournament.
