Departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club has emerged victorious in the ongoing ANFA Women's Championship at the Tharuhat Stadium in Udayapur, defeating New Road Team 6-1. Jennifer Rana of Army scored the first goal in the 12th minute of the match. She added another goal two minutes later.
She scored another goal in the 72nd minute. She was also declared the Man of the Match. Army's Deepa Rai scored in the added three minutes of the first half. Army's Sapana Lama scored another goal in the 81st minute. After scoring another goal in the 90th minute, the score reached 6 goals.
On behalf of the New Road team, Kabita Gurung managed to score a goal for the team in the 34th minute. Sankata Football Club will face Church Boys in tomorrow's match.
Gaighat Football Club, FC Real, Chhahari Youth Club, RS Resort and New Road team have been eliminated from the matches so far. Nepal Police, Church Boys, APF and Tribhuvan Army have advanced.
The tournament to be held on the 9th is organized by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and co-organized by District Football Association Udayapur. The title winner will receive 750,000 and 100,000 rupees. The tournament, which has a trophy, medal and certificate award for the first and second place winners along with Rs 500,000 cash, is being conducted in a knockout system.

Departmental teams have dominated all the matches so far. Police defeated F Real by a wide margin of 10-0. Armed Police Force defeated RS Resort by a wide margin of 19-0, while today the Army defeated the New Road team by a goal difference of 6-1.
