The organizer, Mahendra Jyoti Alumni Forum Farak, has won the title of the 15th Khumbu Lhosar Cup Football Tournament.

Undefeated champions Mahendra Jyoti defeated Namche Youth Club 4-1 in the final held at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato. Mahendra Jyoti's Pasang Geljen Sherpa scored 2 goals, Pemba Smile Sherpa and Sameep Rai scored 1-1. Namche's Nawang Tenzing Sherpa scored one goal.

Khumjung Youth Club defeated Khumbu United Club 4-1 to finish third. The top three winners received prizes of Rs 150,000, Rs 80,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively.

Mahendra Jyoti's Pasang Sherpa was declared the best player in the competition, which was sponsored by 14 Peaks Expeditions Pvt. Ltd. and co-sponsored by Heli Everest Pvt. Ltd. and Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality. He received Rs 11,000.

Pemba Smile Sherpa of Mahendrajyoti was the best striker, Pasang Jembu Sherpa of Mahendrajyoti was the best midfielder, Nima Tasi Sherpa of Namche was the best defender, Ashish Magar of Mahendrajyoti was the best goalkeeper, Pura Tshiring Sherpa of Khumjung Youth Club was the top scorer, Neru Sherpa of Khumjung was the emerging player, and Dipesh Shrestha of Mahendrajyoti was the best coach. All the best received a cash prize of 8 thousand each.

Khumbu United Club became a disciplined team in the competition organized on the occasion of the New Year Gyalbo Lhosar and received a prize of 20 thousand.

The winner was awarded by National Assembly member Sonam Geljen Sherpa, organizer Mahendrajyoti President Fur Gelje Sherpa, and others.

On the occasion, Preeti Rai of the national women's football team was honored with a cash prize of 50 thousand. On the same occasion, various supporting organizations and individuals were also honored.
