The Nepal Adventure Running Federation has honored athletes who have won medals in various national and international ultra/trail races.
The players to be honored are Arjun Kulung Rai, Sunsari Rokaya, Padam Kumari Sunuwar, Sunmaya Budha, Rammaya Budha, Mankumar Magar, Suman Kulung Rai, Gopal Tamang and Lakpa Nigma Sherpa. They were honored on the occasion of the annual general meeting of the federation.
On the same occasion, former Olympian Hari Bahadur Rokaya, who succeeded in writing his name in the Guinness Book of World Records through the Everest Marathon and is active in producing talented players, was also given a special honor. Himalayan Extra Pvt. Ltd. and Himalayan Running Club, Lalitpur were honored on behalf of the organization.
They were honored by National Sports Council (NSC) Member-Secretary Ramcharitra Mehta and Nepal Adventure Running Federation President Ekendra Kunwar. The general meeting passed the annual report, according to the federation's senior vice-president Rajan Khatri.
It has been decided to organize various domestic competitions and participate in international competitions. Chairman Kunwar said that the general assembly has passed a budget of Rs 11 million for the coming year.
