Chasing 174 for victory, New Zealand scored 175 runs for no loss in 15.2 overs. Tim Seifert scored 89 and Finn Allen scored 84. They shared a brilliant not-out partnership. Seifert hit 12 fours and 3 sixes in 42 balls. Similarly, Allen hit 5 fours and 5 sixes in 50 balls.
Earlier, UAE had batted first and scored 173 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the Group D match. Sarfu scored 55 runs in 47 balls for the UAE. He hit five fours and two sixes. Wasim remained unbeaten on 66. His 45-ball innings included four fours and three sixes. They shared a 107-run partnership for the second wicket. This is the UAE's first match in the tournament.
