The host team, Jhapa-11 Football Club, has secured a place in the semi-finals of the 7th Jhapa Gold Cup, which is being held in Birtamod, Jhapa. In the first quarter-final, Jhapa defeated Sikkim's Singling Sporting Club 4-3 in a tiebreaker to secure a place in the semi-finals.

In the 59th minute of the game, Singling captain Uttam Rai could not score a goal in a one-on-one situation with the Jhapa goalkeeper. Singling could not create much of a chance at the opposing post.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the second quarter-final match will be played between Tribhuvan Army Football Club and Laligurans Association Nepal Pokhara.

The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of Rs 1.5 million and the runner-up will receive a prize of Rs 750,000. The organizer has stated that the best player of the competition will receive a motorcycle from Yamaha Company. The best coach, high scorer, and best goalkeeper in each category will each receive a prize of Rs. 35,000.
