The Army Public Relations and Information Directorate has stated that the Army's Hudda Khadga Bahadur Khadka secured the second place in the competition organized on the occasion of Mahashivaratri and Nepali Army Day. In the men's half marathon, Army Private Gajindra Rai won first place by completing the prescribed distance in 1 hour 4 minutes 45 seconds. In the women's half marathon, Santoshi Shrestha won first place by completing the prescribed distance in 1 hour 14 minutes 31 seconds, the Directorate has stated.
The eleventh edition organized with the slogan 'Strong Unity, Safe Nation' included a 42.195-kilometer open marathon and a 21-kilometer half marathon for both men and women.
The competition included a 10-kilometer distance for male and female students, a 5-kilometer distance for military officers, military attachés, and a 5-kilometer distance for basic school students and a 5-kilometer walkathon.
