The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has announced the match schedule for the SAFF U-20 Championship football tournament to be held in the Maldives.
The participating teams in the tournament, which will be held from March 23 to April 4, have been divided into two groups. Nepal is in Group 'A'. The group includes the hosts Maldives, Bhutan and Sri Lanka. Similarly, Group 'B' of the tournament includes the previous winners India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Nepal will face Bhutan in its opening match. Similarly, Nepal will play the second match against Sri Lanka on March 25, while the last match of the group stage will be against Maldives on March 27. After the single round-robin league, the top two teams from each group will make it to the semi-finals. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has selected 80 players in the first phase for the championship.
