The biggest cricket tournament to be held in Nepal so far has 10 participating nations. The tournament begins on Sunday.

Nepal women's cricket team is playing the global qualifiers for the first time. Nepal is in Group 'B'. This group includes Scotland, Thailand, Zimbabwe and the Netherlands. Group 'A' includes Bangladesh, Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Namibia and the United States.

The tournament matches will be held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur and the upper ground of Mulpani. On the first day, Sunday, Nepal and Thailand will compete in Kirtipur in the morning, and Zimbabwe and the Netherlands in the afternoon. The United States will play Bangladesh and Ireland against PNG in Mulpani on Sunday. All of Nepal's matches will be played in Kirtipur.

The top three teams in the group will advance to the Super Six. The top four teams in the Super Six will qualify for the Twenty20 World Cup to be held in England and Wales.
