Sports training and management company Pace-X Sports officially launched its journey through a press conference held in the capital on Wednesday.
According to Sangita Karna, founder and president of Pace-X Sports, the company's main objective is to establish a world-class sports training ecosystem focused on the long-term development and overall health of athletes for schools, communities and various organizations.
'Our goal is to implement the scientific and systematic Pace-X model in at least 100 schools and organizations across the country within 5 years,' said President Karna.
Saurabh Singh, CEO of the organization, informed that the company was established in Nepal six months ago after a two-year plan. 'Currently, we are working by targeting 21 sports, including football, cricket and e-sports,' said Singh.
Clarifying the training methodology, Singh said, 'We follow a long-term player development model, which is internationally recognized as the most effective framework. This will be supported by technology, data analytics and a future-oriented approach of certified experts. Our program will target players in the age group of 6 to 22 years.'
He informed that the company has already discussed its objectives and goals with about 150 schools in three districts of the capital.
According to the booklet distributed at the press conference, taekwondo star Deepak Bista and national football team player Rohit Chand are mentioned as experts from Nepal, while former Indian basketball captain Vishesh Brighuvanshi and others have also been included.
Claiming to be the country's first and only full-service (end-to-end) sports management company, Pace-X Sports aims to build a structured and scalable sports training ecosystem, incorporate international sports systems, promote health, fitness and overall development, establish world-class sports facilities and infrastructure, and empower coaches, teachers and sports leaders.
But the company currently does not have its own facilities or infrastructure. "In the initial phase, we will provide expert manpower and use the facilities of schools or community organizations," Singh said.
