Nepal is starting preparations for the Women's Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers by playing a practice match against Ireland on Wednesday. The 10-nation Women's Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers will begin on Sunday. Before that, the participating teams, including Nepal, will play 2-2 practice matches.
Nepal will play Ireland in the lower Mulpani on Wednesday. Bangladesh and the Netherlands will play practice matches at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, and Zimbabwe and Papua New Guinea and the United States and Scotland will play practice matches at the Upper Mulpani.
Nepal will play the second practice match against the United States in Kirtipur on Friday. Nepal, which is playing the Global Women's Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers for the first time, has already announced a 15-member team under the captaincy of Indu Burma. This will be Harshal Pathak's first tournament as Nepali coach.
Nepal, which is in Group 'B', will then play Thailand on January 18, the Netherlands on January 22, Zimbabwe on January 24 and Scotland on January 26. This is the first time Nepal is playing Zimbabwe and Scotland.

The tournament matches will be held at Kirtipur and Upper Mulpani grounds. Only two practice matches will be held at Lower Mulpani. Nepal had played informal practice matches against the US and Scotland in preparation for the tournament.
