The Chandbagh School won the senior girls' division of the 5th KMC Inter-School Basketball Tournament on Monday.

On the host KMC court, Chandbagh defeated Himali 28-20. Chandbagh's Amaulika Khadka scored 10. In the same event, defending champion Ribs defeated Baldiksha Sadan 24-15 with Siska Thapa's 12 points.

In the senior boys' tournament, Baldiksha Sadan defeated host KMC 'B' 29-15, Sewa Sadan defeated Green Lawns 26-20, VS Niketan defeated Nepal Central  29-17 and Golden Peak defeated Kathmandu Xaviers Public 60-45. Jason Shrestha of Baldiksha scored 13, Abhishek Rai of Sewa Sadan scored 12, Aaron Kakshapati of VS Niketan scored 13 and Vijay Tamang of Golden Peak scored 22.

In the junior boys' tournament, Himali defeated Kathmandu Shikshalay 18-10, Golden Flower defeated Whitefield 13-8 and Golden Peak defeated Nepal Central 17-10. Himali's Sabin Tamang scored 6, Golden Flower's Isajesh Tamang scored 10, and Golden Peak's Prajim Magar scored 6. There will be 9 group stage matches on Tuesday.
