Amravati Managing Director Kushal Shrestha announced the award. Shrestha said that the Nepali player who scores the most runs in the competition will be awarded Rs 50,000 and the Nepali player who takes the most wickets will be awarded Rs 35,000. Shrestha said that this announcement was made to encourage women's cricket. He pointed out the need for contribution from the private sector to develop women's cricket and appreciate the hard work and talent of the players.
The ICC Women's T20 World Cup qualifiers begin on Sunday. Nepal, which is in Group 'B' of the 10-nation tournament, will play Thailand on January 18, Netherlands on January 22, Zimbabwe on January 24 and Scotland on January 26.
