Army's Arjun Budha and Pushpa Sherma win Vijaypur Sangurigadhi race title

In the Bijaypur-Sangurigadhi 10-kilometer race organized by the Nepal Army on the occasion of the 304th Earth Anniversary and National Unity Day, Arjun Budha, a soldier from the Army's Devidatta Battalion, and Pushpa Sherma from Panchthar won first place in the women's category.

Similarly, Sanyol Limbu and Mandira Mahatara won first place in the 5-kilometer race for men and women, respectively.

Indramani Parajuli, Minister of Internal Affairs and Law of Koshi Province, Lieutenant General Gaurav Kumar KC, Commander of the Eastern Army Headquarters, Lieutenant General Diwakar Bikram Rana, and other officials distributed prizes to the winning runners of the competition.

The runners who secured the first, second, and third places in the 10-kilometer race received cash prizes of Rs 25, 15, and 10,000 respectively. Similarly, the runners who secured the first, second, and third places in the 5-kilometer race received cash prizes of Rs 12, 8, and 5,000 respectively.

Certificates were also given to the top 10 runners, said Ganesh Thapa, the commander of the Bhimdal battalion in Salleri. 334 people participated in both categories of the race.
