The winners of five categories - Male, Female, People's Choice, Coach and Youth - will be awarded Bajaj Pulsar motorcycles. The winners of other categories will be awarded Rs 100,000 each.

The 22nd edition of the NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards, which was postponed due to the Gen-G movement, is scheduled to be held in Pokhara next week on Poush 23.

The organizer Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) organized a press conference on Sunday and set a new date for the awards, which were affected by the Gen-G protests on Bhadra 29. 

The awards were postponed at the last minute due to the Gen-G protests on Bhadra 23 and 24. Similarly, Niranjan Adhikari, the forum's president, said in the press conference that Yeti Airlines has been added as a new sponsor to the Sports Awards. 

Yeti Airlines will provide services to the players, coaches and guests who have been nominated to participate in the awards.  Similarly, it was informed in the press conference that the digital voting process of the People's Choice, which was stopped from Sunday, which is an important category of the awards, was also opened. 

Anjan Khadka, general secretary of the forum, said, 'In the past, the players who were nominated for People's Choice received as many votes as they received. The voting process will start again from there.' The competitors in this category are Vijay Sinjali of Usu, Pooja Mahato of cricket, Himal Sunari of volleyball, Rekha Poudel of football and Ivana Thapa of table tennis.

Sports Summit to be held  The

Sports Award will be held at the Pokhara Auditorium in Pokhara. The day before that, the NSJF Sports Summit will be held in Pokhara on Poush 22.  Forum Chairman Niranjan Adhikari informed that a sports summit will be held to make the award operational and there will be a debate on Pokhara's tourism and sports economy. 

Other topics of the award remain the same and collaboration has been done with some new companies. Collaboration will be done as per the agreement of the main sponsor with Golchha Group. Pokhara Metropolitan City will collaborate in the award. A written agreement has been signed with Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya for collaboration.

In addition, Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd., digital voting partner IME Khalti Digital Wallet, Kelmi Nepal, Imaged, National Sports Council, Nepal Olympic Committee, Bagmati Province Sports Development Council, Nepal Tourism Board and IME Hospitality are also partners.

NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards 2081 will be awarded in 10 categories. These include Best Sportsperson of the Year Male, Best Sportsperson of the Year Female, Best Sportsperson of the Year Youth, Coach of the Year, People's Choice Award, Para Athlete Honor, Special Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Asian Sports Journalist Award and Team of the Year.

The winners of other categories will be given Rs. 100,000 each. To make the award program a success, a main organizing committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Forum President Niranjan Adhikari.
