The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has fined the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) $2,000 for entering the field late in the third round of the Asian Cup qualifiers against Malaysia.
Nepal was defeated 1-0 in the last match held in Malaysia on November 18. In the match held at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Nepal was one minute and 30 seconds late to enter the field before the start of the match.
Malaysia has also been fined $2,500 for the same charge. The AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Committee meeting held on December 15 recommended action against Nepal and Malaysia.
