500 players are set to compete in the second Chandrama Provincial Level Open Taekwondo Competition to be held in Itahari from Magh 1.
It was informed through a press conference on Friday that 500 players from 14 districts of Koshi Province will compete in the competition organized by Chandrama Taekwondo Dojang from Magh 1 to 3.
The competition to be held at the covered hall of the Itahari Stadium complex will feature 43 events in various age groups in junior and senior categories, informed the organizer's chairman Kumar Gurung.
The competition, in which players from more than 50 different dojangs in Koshi Province will compete, is said to also help in the preparations for the 10th National Games.
The first-place team in the competition, which is estimated to cost around seven hundred thousand rupees, will be awarded 50,000 in cash. The second-place team will receive 30,000 and the third-place team will receive 20,000. The best male and female players will be awarded 5,000 each, according to the organizer.
Since many players from different districts of the province compete, talented players emerge, the competition, which started last year, is being continued this year as well, informed Chairman Gurung.
