Police Club won the title in the final of the Arjundhara Open Women's Volleyball Tournament held on Sunday. The Police team defeated the departmental team, the Armed Police Force (APF) Club, to win the title.

In the competitive match, Police defeated APF by 3-1. 

Along with the title, Police received a cash prize of Rs 200,000, a trophy, a medal and a certificate. APF, who was limited to the runner-up position, received a cash prize of Rs 100,000, a trophy, a medal and a certificate. Police won the first, third and fourth sets in the final match, while APF won the second set. Police won the first set by 25-23, the third set by 25-18 and the fourth set by 25-21 points. APF defeated Police by 25-20 points in the second set. 

The best player of the competition was Ashika Chhetri of Police. She received a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and a trophy. The best coach was Rupesh Bista of Police. He received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a trophy. Similarly, the best spiker was Shristi Khadgi of APF, the best blocker was Manisha Chaudhary of Police, the best server was Josna Mahato of APF, the best setter was Kamala Pun of Police and the best libero was Jamuna Rasaili of APF. They each received Rs 10,000 in cash and a trophy. 

The tournament held at the playground of Laxmi Secondary School was organized by Arjundhara Municipal Sports Development Committee and co-organized by Laxmi Secondary School. This was the first time that national-level women's volleyball was held in Jhapa. The winners and runners-up were awarded prizes by organizing chairman Surendra Dhimal, chief guest Arjundhara Municipal Mayor Baldev Gomden, deputy mayor Khadgamaya Parajuli, chief advisor of the tournament Bir Bahadur Rai, coordinator Prabha Kambang, central vice-president of Nepal Volleyball Association Madan Khadka, and others.
