Manthali Secondary School emerged as the best school by winning a total of 80 medals, including 34 gold, 29 silver, and 17 bronze, in the competition held at the Manthali Secondary School playground from November 4 to 6, organized by the Manthali Municipal Sports Development Committee.

Manthali Secondary School has won the title of the eighth Manthali Municipal Level President's Running Shield-2082.
In the competition organized by the Manthali Municipal Sports Development Committee from Manthali 4 to 6, Manthali Mavi emerged as the best school by winning a total of 80 medals, including 34 gold, 29 silver and 17 bronze.
Similarly, Tamakoshi English Boarding School, Manthali, which won 41 medals, including 11 gold, 14 silver and 16 bronze, came in second place. Karkaladevi English Boarding School, Manthali, which won 16 medals, including 7 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze, came in third.
The winner, Manthali Mavi, received a cash prize of Rs 40,000, a shield, trophy, medal and certificate. The second place winner, Tamakoshi Boarding School, received a trophy, medal and certificate of Rs 25,000, while the third place winner, Karkaladevi Boarding School, received a shield, trophy and medal of Rs 15,000. Nilakanteshwor Secondary School, Kathjor, which won 16 medals including 4 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze, settled for a consolation prize of Rs 5,000. Bhairavi Secondary School, Sunarpani, which won 14 medals including 3 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze, finished in fifth place.
Meanwhile, Saraswati Secondary School (Chankhu), Sharda Secondary School (Gelu), Kalidevi Secondary School (Fulasi) and Boudha Secondary School (Fulasi) failed to win a single medal and returned empty-handed.
Committee Chairman Gopal Majhi informed that 211 medals including 66 gold, 66 silver and 79 bronze were competed for in various sports including volleyball, kabaddi, athletics, taekwondo, wushu and karate in the three-day competition.
Manthali Municipality Mayor Love Shrestha, Deputy Mayor Ishwori Basnet, School Management Committee Chairman Kumar Shrestha and others jointly distributed the prizes to the winning schools.
