This program will be implemented in 1,072 schools across 77 districts of Nepal.
The global program 'Football for Schools' of the World Football Federation (FIFA) has been launched in Sunsari with the aim of promoting the holistic development of children through football at the school level.
The program started in 13 schools in Sunsari from Friday with the support of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). Organized by the Koshi Province Football Association and the Sunsari District Football Association, the program was inaugurated by Pankaj Bikram Nembang, President of the All Nepal Football Association, at the ANFA Academy Stadium in Dharan.
FIFA has set a goal of bringing football to 700 million children aged 4 to 14 around the world through the program, which is being run with the support of FIFA and UNESCO. ANFA President Nembang informed that this program will be implemented in 1,072 schools in 77 districts of Nepal.
He said that a total of 32,640 footballs will be distributed under the program. The program was launched in 13 schools at various local levels in Sunsari. Nembang said that this program will contribute to the education, development and empowerment of children and will make school-level students physically, mentally, socially and morally competent.
