Croatia qualified for the 2026 World Cup on Friday night. They defeated Faroe Islands 3-1 in Group L of the European qualifiers, securing their place in next year's World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

After Faroe Islands took an unexpected lead through Jeza David's goal, goals from Josco Guardiola, Peter Musa and Nikola Vlasic sealed the victory for Croatia. After this victory, no one can surpass the 2018 World Cup runners-up in Group 'L'.

Montenegro defeated Gibraltar 3-1 in the same group. Similarly, the Netherlands also moved closer to qualifying, and for this, the Netherlands held Poland to a 1-1 draw in Group 'G'. Germany will have to wait for its final match for its qualification.

In Group 'A', Germany beat Luxembourg 2-0 with the help of two goals from Nick Waltemud, but it was not enough to qualify. In the other match, Slovakia defeated Northern Ireland 1-0. In other key matches, France defeated Ukraine 4-0, Ireland defeated Portugal 2-0, Italy defeated Moldova 2-0, and England defeated Serbia 2-0.
