Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam has broken Indian hitter Rohit Sharma's record in Twenty20 International cricket.

Babar has become the highest run-scorer in Twenty20 Internationals. He achieved this record in the Twenty20 match played against South Africa. 

South Africa, who batted first at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, were all out for 110 runs in 19.2 overs. Pakistan achieved the target in just 13.1 overs with the loss of one wicket. 

Babar remained unbeaten on 11 runs in this match. In addition, his Twenty20 career has reached 4,234 runs. Rohit Sharma is three runs behind him. Sharma has scored a total of 4,231 runs in Twenty20 Internationals.

Similarly, Virat Kohli, who is in third place with 4,188 runs, England's Jos Buttler with 3,869 runs and Ireland's Paul Robert Stirling with 3,710 runs, are in fifth place.
