ICC World Cup League 2: Nepal's second consecutive defeat

Nepal has lost to UAE by 5 wickets in the second match of ICC World Cup League 2 cricket. Chasing the target of 234 runs set by Nepal at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, UAE achieved the target by losing 5 wickets in 43.3 balls.

This is Nepal's second consecutive defeat. Nepal, which won the toss and elected to bat, was all out for 233 runs after playing 50 overs. Captain Rohit Poudel scored 109 runs for Nepal.

Apart from Rohit, Kushal Bhurtel 7, Asif Sheikh 35, Bhim Sarki 3, Arif Sheikh 27, Dipendra Singh Airi 23, Sompal Kami 6, Karan KC 13 were out for Nepal in Thursday's match. Gulshan Jha could not open his account.

For UAE, Zahid Ali took 4 wickets for 41 runs in 6 overs. Junaid Siddiqui took 3 wickets for 54 runs in 10 overs. Muhammad Rohid and Haider Ali took 1 wicket each.

Chasing a target of 234 runs, opener Aryansh Sharma scored the highest score of 98 runs for UAE. Alishan Sarafu scored 45 and Muhammad Wasim scored 26 runs.

For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets for 34 runs in 10 overs. Karan KC and Deependra Singh Airi took 1 wicket each.
