The Extratech Oval Cricket Ground in Tilottama, Rupandehi, is set to become the home ground of Lumbini Lions. Lumbini Lions have signed a long-term partnership agreement with Extratech Oval in preparation for the Nepal Premier League Cricket. Both parties have announced that they have reached an agreement.
Binod Kunwar, on behalf of Extratech Oval, and Lumbini Lions President Ishwar GC signed the agreement on Saturday. Ghimire said that Extratech Oval will now be more than just a ground but also the identity of Lumbini.
Extratech Oval Director Kunwar expressed his commitment to move forward together to take Nepali cricket to new heights. He said, ‘This partnership is our shared commitment to develop world-class cricket facilities in Bhairahawa. We are moving forward together to take Nepali cricket to new heights.’
The Lions have stated that this agreement is based on a shared vision of developing world-class cricket infrastructure in western Nepal. Under this partnership, the Lions will be able to use Extratech Oval for training, practice matches, coaching camps and strategic meetings, as well as host home matches of NPL and other cricket competitions at this ground.
As per the agreement, the ground will provide the main oval, practice nets, pitch, floodlights, ground maintenance equipment and club house facilities, which will provide the club with a professional-level training and preparation environment throughout the year, the Lions said.
