An attractive Kali Puja pandal has been constructed in Bhadrapur-6 here, displaying pictures of Nepali national cricket players.

Vijay Sah, coordinator of the worship committee, said that the pandal was built by Club Bangla Bhadrapur, imbibing the enthusiasm and happiness given by the national cricket team to the people who were disappointed by the political instability in the country after the 'Genji' movement.

The pandal built in Bhadrapur-6 includes 35 photos of senior men, senior women and former national players. According to committee member Partha Mandal, the pandal was built in the shape of the players with the aim of ensuring that the Nepali team achieves greater success in the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka in 2026.

'We have succeeded in building a pandal that reflects nationalism in a short time with the help and support of various donors,' he said, 'Everyone has liked the pandal and has also appreciated this work.'

The committee has stated that it is estimated that the pandal, electricity, lighting and musical programs will cost around seven lakh rupees. Committee member Nirmal Ghosh informed that a grand musical program will be organized at the place of worship on Kartik 7 with the participation of local and Indian artists.

Club Bangla Bhadrapur, established by youths of the Bengali community, had built a pandal in the shape of Kedarnath Temple last year. The club has been constructing pandals in various shapes and performing Kali Puja for the past nine years, said committee member Ghosh.
