A trophy parade was held in Janakpur on Saturday, a month before the start of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The trophy parade was held by organizing a program at the Janaki Temple premises in Janakpur.

Shobha Kant Pandey, the president of the District Cricket Association Dhanusha, said that the trophy parade program was held at the Sitasharan Hotel in Janakpur.

The trophy parade saw a significant participation of youth, cricket lovers, sportspersons, social workers and supporters of the first edition champion Janakpur Bolts. Officials of the District Cricket Association Dhanusha have said that organizing the trophy parade in Janakpur is a moment connected with the feelings and pride of cricket lovers of Madhesh Province. ‘Janakpur is a city full of cricket spirit,’ said Aakash Pandey, president of the association, ‘The energy and enthusiasm here will make the second edition of the NPL even more interesting.’

Janakpur Bolts are the winners of the first edition of the NPL. CAN has also interpreted the parade held in Janakpur as a tribute to the winners of the first edition. After the trophy parade held in Madhesh Province, CAN is preparing to continue this campaign in other provinces as well. Under this, a program has been decided to take the trophy to Lumbini, Gandaki, Bagmati, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
