After captain Indu Burma and former captain Rubina Chhetri played an experienced innings, the Nepali women's cricket team defeated Malaysia by 6 wickets in the fourth Twenty20 international on Tuesday. With this, Nepal has tied the five-match Twenty20 international series 2-2.

Batting first, Malaysia scored 111 runs after losing 5 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs at the Air Mass Oval in Kuala Lumpur. After Indu and Rubina's innings, Nepal scored 115 runs in 17.3 overs and won the match. With the scores tied, Indu hit the winning boundary.

Indu scored 48 off 39 balls and Rubina remained unbeaten on 23 off 23 balls. These two shared an unbeaten partnership of 61 runs for the fifth wicket playing 55 balls. Indu hit 6 fours and Rubina hit 2 fours and 1 six. Kavita Kunwar scored 16 runs off 26 balls. Ruvi Podar was out for 5 runs, Jakkan Khadka for 11 runs and Pooja Mahato for 7 runs. Pooja was run out by Aina Hamijah Hasim on a straight throw.

Earlier, Nepal had dismissed both Malaysian openers Hashim and Wan Julia before opening their individual accounts. Kavita Kunwar cut and bowled Hasim, who has scored half-centuries in two of the last three matches of this series against Nepal. Julia was bold with Pooja's strength. Captain Winifred Duraisingham was dismissed for 2 runs by Kavita Kunwar.

Mass Ilisa scored an unbeaten 56 runs off 63 balls, while Mahirah scored 18 runs off 21 balls and Noor Dania scored 15 runs off 15 balls with 2 fours. Kavita, the player of the match from Nepal, took 3 wickets with 10 runs in 4 overs. Pooja and Kavita Joshi took 1 wicket each. Pooja spent 12 runs in her only over. Kavita Joshi spent 18 runs in 3 overs. The decisive fifth and final match will be held on Wednesday.
