Four players will compete in the World Mountain Championship

Four athletes from Nepal are going to play the third edition of the World Mountain and Trail Run Championship in Spain.

Nepal's Suman Kulung, Sange Sherpa, Manakumar Roka and Sunmaya Budha will participate in the tournament organized by World Athletics. The competition to be held in Spain's Caen Franc will take place from September 24 to 29. Although the entire team could not participate due to the

visa, the highest ranked trail runner from Nepal is going to represent the country in the world class competition, according to the Nepal Adventure Running Federation.

Nepal's number one Suman Kulung is also the number one player in the Asia ranking, while on the women's side, Nepal's number one player Sunmaya Budha is the third number player in the Asia ranking. All four athletes will compete in the single long distance trail run event.

Team Manager Preeti Khatri said that the players were selected according to international standards. ITRA ranking has been given priority as the main criterion. For male athletes, an ITRA score of over 860 was required to qualify. In which the top three male and female players have been selected. Ekendra Kunwar, president of the
