The Young Sporting Club has entered the semi-finals of the Itahari Taplejung Gold Cup football tournament by shocking the host Telok Sporting Club of Taplejung with a 2-1 goal difference.
Telok, which included two foreign and four national players on behalf of the organizers, was eliminated from the opening match. In the opening match on Saturday, Sanjay Shrestha of Tellok Sporting Club opened the account of the first goal in the 26th minute of the first half on behalf of the host and enthused the home audience. But in the 70th minute of the second half, Itahari's Niraj Khadka scored the first goal and tied the game. In the 74th minute, Yogen Rai of Itahari scored the second goal on behalf of his team . It became a decisive goal for Itahari. This goal scored by him was enough to enter the semi-finals.
