In the first phase of the auction for the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), 26 players have been signed. 8 teams participating in the NPL have contracted them from the first round of auction held on Saturday.

For the second edition, Dev Khanal, Arjun Saud, Adil Alam and Pawan Sarraf have been bought for the highest price. They will receive Rs.15 lakh each. Dev and Arjun are scheduled to play for Chitwan Rhinos, Adil for Kathmandu Gorkhaz and Pawan for Karnali Yaks. 

Similarly, Dilip Nath and Sher Malla have been signed by Lumbini Lions, Hemant Dhami by Sudurpaschim Royals, Surya Tamang by Biratnagar Kings, Santosh Yadav by Kathmandu Gorkhaz and Yuvraj Khatri by Karnali Yaks for Rs 10 lakh each. 

Similarly, Mayan Yadav has been contracted by Janakpur Woltz for Rs 7 lakh 50 thousand and Akash Tripathi has been contracted by Kathmandu Gorkhaz for Rs 7 lakh. Similarly, Narayan Joshi and Sahil Patel have been signed by Biratnagar Kings, Arjun Kumal by Pokhara Avengers, Vishal Patel by Lumbini Lions and Aditya Mahata by Janakpur Bolts for Rs 5 lakh each. Kathmandu Gorkhas have signed Uttam Thapa Magar for Rs 3 lakh.  

Similarly, Tek Bahadur Rawat and Dipendra Thapa have been signed by Sudurpaschim Royals, Abhishek Tiwari and Krishna Paudel by Pokhara Avengers, Sachin Bhatt by Janakpur Bolts, Tul Bahadur Thapa by Kathmandu Gorkhaz and Imran Sheikh and Deepak Dumre by Karnali Yaks for two lakh rupees each.

Kathmandu Gorkhaz has signed 5 players according to its quota. Other teams could not bring in all the players from the first phase of the auction. Teams other than Kathmandu Gorkhaj will be able to contract the rest of the unsold players at the lowest price. 150 players participated in today's mini auction of NPL. Out of 458 registered players, 150 players were selected for the mini auction.
