The Nepal Rugby Union has announced the Nepali Women's Rugby Team for the Asia Rugby Emirates U-20 Sevens Trophy.
Asia Rugby Emirates U-20 Sevens Trophy 2025 is being held in India from 24th to 27th July. For this, the association has announced a 13-member Nepali youth team on Sunday.
The Nepali team consists of Sahakro Tumbapo, Lucky Magar, Sanmika Magar, Rekha Khadka, Sushila Sunuwar, Nisha Ghalan, Roshna Pokharel, Pooja Dangol, Kavita Badi, Arushi Bhattarai, Salina Majhi, Misika Gautam and Ramira Shahi. The team is scheduled to leave for India on July 22.
Savitri Purja's training team has been selected and currently Gobind Ghimire, General Secretary of the association informed that the training is being conducted at the Radhakrishna Sports Ground in Sarlahi. He said that the team has been training in Sarlahi for a month to match the weather of India where the competition will take place.
Players from 11 different Asian countries will compete in the tournament to be held at Rajgir Stadium in Bihar, India. Under the previous edition, the competition of this age group was organized in Nepal.
