Karate's Shahil Rai has won the Best Dharan Player of the Year award. Under the Dharan Sports Award-2082 organized by the Dharan Sports Forum on Saturday, along with Rai, Nigam Timsina of karate and avatar Rai of physical fitness were nominated.
Varsha Rai of karate won the best Dharan female player of the year award. On the women's side, Salina Jogi of Citerio Karate was nominated along with Rai. Both the best received the award with 30,000 cash each. Karate's Kiran Lama won the best coach of the year award. Along with him, table tennis coach Geeta Thapa and cycling's Shyam Tamang were nominated. Lama received an award with cash of 20,000.

event, Dharana player Vivek Rai, who won a medal in the Para Olympics, has been awarded the Bikram Rai Memorial Award with cash of 10,000.
With the aim of encouraging players and coaches, Dharan Sports Forum has been providing 'Sports Award' every year, President Kishore Rai informed.
