After being selected from the Asia region, Nepal is going to host the first global women's cricket tournament, which will be held from January 12 to February 2.

Nepal is going to host the Global Qualifying Tournament of Women's Twenty20 World Cup Cricket. 10 different teams will participate in the tournament, which will be conducted at Upper and Lower Mulpani Cricket Grounds in Kathmandu.

Which will be divided into two groups and the game will be played. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that the schedule of the tournament will be announced soon.

The qualifying match of the upcoming 2026 tournament will be held from January 12 to February 2. The top four from the 10 teams participating in the tournament will qualify for the World Cup in England and Wales. 

This is the biggest competition organized by Nepal so far. Thailand and Nepal have been selected from the Asia region of the competition. For the first time, Nepal has passed the Asia selection and made it to the global selection . In the

competition, Ireland and Bangladesh have been automatically selected based on their participation in the 2024 Women's Twenty20 World Cup. Similarly, the United States of America has been selected from the American region.

For the remaining five places, two teams each from Africa and Europe and one team from the East Asia-Pacific region will be selected. For which regional selection competitions are yet to be completed.
