Savitra Bhandari 'Samba', the captain of the national women's football team, recently signed with the Wellington Phoenix Football Club in New Zealand, is now at home. His house is Marsyangdi rural municipality-9 Simpani Pamchok bamboo boat.

Savitra was in France when Samba Chowk was announced by the rural municipality on June 5. She was preparing to play the Gurkha Cup of Britain from France. She went to play a friendly match against Thailand after the Gurkha Cup in Britain on May 25. Then she returned to Nepal. He was honored on Thursday by the Youth and Sports Development Committee of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality, Amar Mavi Khudi and other organizations. 

The municipality has announced Samba Chowk. It is a matter of pride for me. I still have a lot of work to do in the field of football. It requires everyone's cooperation,' said Savitri. She said that she wants to see many people like her playing football and for this the government should create a positive environment. The municipality had an interview with the U-19 players and students in the municipality along with the honor of Samba. 

Samba said that discipline, perseverance and determination lead people to success. I still have a long way to go. I want to see more people like me playing football. The government should create an environment for this," she said.

She has played in different leagues in Israel, India, Maldives and other countries. Village Chairman Arjun Gurung said that the contribution of Savitra, one of the top scorers in the history of Nepali women's football, has inspired the country's sports sector.
