The national game of Nepal has entered the volleyball franchise league structure. The women's volleyball franchise league was started last year. Vatsalya Everest Women's Volleyball League is a franchise league in volleyball.

The league was organized by Infinity Dreams in collaboration with Nepal Volleyball Association. As it was the first edition last year, the league was organized without a player auction. Infinity is planning to host the second edition from August 20 to 28. For that, an 'auction' of players was held in the capital on Friday.

Association president Jitendra Bahadur Chand says that this is a historic day for Nepali volleyball. He said, "This is a historic and special day for us. Volleyball players have also entered the professional field, it is expected to help the development of Nepali volleyball.

Sangh has signed a seven-year contract with Infinity for organizing women's volleyball league. Chairman Chand added, "We are proud that the league is being organized according to the vision we had entered into the agreement with." Last year the first edition was held in Kathmandu, this year it is being held in Pokhara. Former winners Karnali Yeshvis, Lalitpur Queens, Kathmandu Spikers, Madhesh United, Pokhara Ninjas and Lumbini Lava will participate in the second edition. They were the same team in the first edition too.

All the marquee players of the team said that the auction was a different experience for them as it was their first time and this day would prove to be a milestone for Nepali volleyball. The 'home ground' team Pokhara Ninjas spent the most in the auction held at Hotel Solty. New Diamond Academy player Pragati Nath Marki and Rupesh Kumar Bista coached Pokhara spent 6 lakh 29 thousand 750 rupees in the auction. 69 players were placed in the

The base price of 'B' was from 1 lakh to more than 1 lakh 15 thousand and the base price of 'C' was from 50 thousand to 57 thousand 500. There were seven players in the 'A' category. Among them were open hitter Safia Pun and Aarti Chand of Army, Poonam Chand of Police, Kamna Bista of Opposer Police, Middle Blocker Kavita Bhatt of APF, Sangam Mahato of Army and Shantikala Tamang of Libero Police.

The first bid of the auction was placed on Kama Bista. When Lumbini, Karnali and Lalitpur bid to get him at the maximum price, Lumbini won through a lucky draw. Like him, Poonam, Sangam and Safia also reached Pokhara, Lalitpur and Karnali teams respectively through lucky 'draws'.

Pokhara, Lalitpur and Karnali for Poonam, Sangam for Madhesh and Lalitpur and Safia for Madhesh and Karnali. Blocker Kavita was taken by Kathmandu Spikers for the maximum price in the first bid. Army's Aarti was taken by Madhesh United at the base price (1 lakh 15 thousand). After being 'unsold' in the first round, Shantikala was automatically relegated to 'B'.

Lumbini, Kathmandu and Karnali bid there, and from the lucky draw, Lumbini contracted 'B' at the maximum price of 1 lakh 15 thousand. Lumbini got Middle Blocker Police Alyssa Manandhar from 'B' grade for maximum price in 'Draw'. Pokhara, Lalitpur and Madhesh along with Lumbini were ready to pay the maximum price. Five teams (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Lumbini, Madhesh and Pokhara) bid the maximum price for open hitter Meena Sunar of EVC. However, Pokhara bet on a lucky draw.
