Savitra Bhandari is the best striker in South Asia. Now one more strong detail will be added to his resume. That is, an Australian top division women's football player. Savitra will soon play in the 'A' league there.

His new destination will be the Wellington Phoenix. This New Zealand club has announced a two-year contract with Savitra in a very emphatic way.  The

club has tried to give as much importance as possible to this Nepalese player known as 'Samba'. Savitra said on the club's social network, "I am very excited to play for Phoenix." I want to score as many goals as possible and make the supporters happy. This is the club, Wellington in New Zealand. But it will play in Australia. Women's football in Australia's top division is strong in its own right.

Even more important is the fact that this is the only club in New Zealand that represents the country and plays international women's football. On the other hand, 'Samba' will be the first Nepali player to play professional football in Australia.

She had already become the first Nepali player to play professional football in Europe. She previously played in Israel, then went to France. Savitra, who played for APF club while in Nepal, also played professional league in India. He has scored 66 goals in 60 matches for Nepal. This is another record in itself. She also captained the Nepalese team in the AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifier held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan recently. She is the 13th captain to lead the Nepali women's national team.

She scored 9 goals in three qualifying matches there. It included two hat-tricks. Samba has been the top scorer of all the groups in that selection. She scored 60 goals while in India. In France, she played two seasons for Avant Guengamp. Samba also took an emotional farewell from Guengamp, indicating that the new club is his destination.

She wrote on social media, "Thank you very much for the amazing journey of the last two years. I will always be proud of the progress I have made along the way. It will mean a lot to my career. Now is the time for us to part for a new beginning. I will always be grateful for the love shown by the club's supporters. No matter where I am, my support will be with the club.'

Guengamp, which he joined, saved relegation by finishing 10th in the first season. The club was not so lucky last season and was relegated to the second division of the French women's league. She scored 6 goals that season. Among them, two goals scored against Paris Saint Germain (PSG) made her shine in the international media. Now the new season will start in September in Australia. In preparation for the same, Savitra will go to Australia soon.
