SPA College has honored Sachin Bhatt and Sushil Rawal, the proud young cricketers of Far West, with lifetime scholarships and cash. The college honored them with a cash prize of Rs 25,000-25,000 each and a full scholarship for studies up to Masters level in a program organized on Friday.
Sachin and Sushil were honored after Nepal won the title in the ACC Men's U-16 East Zone Cup cricket tournament held recently in Malaysia. Yogaraj Upadhyaya Gautam, campus head of SPA College said that it is a matter of pride to honor promising athletes Bhatt and Rawal as part of the college's ongoing practice of honoring the best talents in various disciplines.
We believe that this lifetime scholarship provided by the college will give more encouragement to the athletes dedicated to the nation. We wish them all the best for a bright future,” he said.
While returning from Malaysia, Sachin and Sushil shared their experience of being welcomed by SPA College at Dhangadhi Airport and honored in the presence of hundreds of students.
SPA College has been offering full or partial scholarships to talented students in the sports field as well as various other disciplines in the past. Earlier also, the college honored three players from the Far West, Manisha Upadhyay, Sneha Mahara, Savitri Dhami and coach Janki Bhatt, who participated in the T-20 women's cricket tournament held in the UAE, with a lump sum of Rs 1 lakh in cash.
