Mexico defeated America 2-1 on Monday and won the Concacafe Gold Cup title. Mexico overturned a one-goal deficit to win the biggest soccer tournament in North and Central America and the Caribbean for a record 10th time.

In the game in Houston, Texas, the United States took the lead in the fourth minute with a goal by Chris Richards. Raul Jimenez equalized for Mexico in the 27th minute of the first half.

In the 77th minute of the game, Addison Alvarez scored the decisive goal with a header and Mexico was able to defend its title as the defending champion. A total of 16 teams participated in this tournament.

Among them, 15 teams were from North and Central America and the Caribbean region. Saudi Arabia was played as a guest team. Mexico and America are hosting next year's World Cup together with Canada.
