Nepal has entered the pre-quarterfinals of the U-19 boys team event of the 29th Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship.
Nepal defeated Saudi Arabia 3-1 in the Group 1 match of the tournament in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and managed to reach the pre-quarterfinals. Team leader Jackie Maharjan said that Nepal, which collected 3 points, reached the pre-quarterfinals by becoming the runner-up in the group.
Men's entries from Nepal include Basnet, Himal Bista and Gananjay Dahal. India and Saudi Arabia are in Nepal's group. After defeating Nepal and Saudi Arabia, India became the group winners and reached the pre-quarterfinals.
