ACC Men's U-16: Nepal's second win in a row, defeating Japan by 9 wickets

Nepal has won the ACC Men's U-16 Eastern Regional Cricket Tournament for the second time in a row. After winning by 6 wickets against Singapore on Sunday, Nepal defeated Japan by 9 wickets in their second match on Tuesday.

Nepal easily completed the target of 81 runs given by Japan on Tuesday, losing only one wicket in 14.2 overs. For Nepal, Shivansh Bajgai scored 38 runs not out. Similarly, Prashiddha Jaishi also scored 33 runs not out. He also scored 55 not out against Singapore. Joy Thapa was dismissed for one run. Kaisi Kobayashidogget took one wicket in bowling for Japan. 

Before that, Japan, who batted first, was bowled out for 80 runs in 34.3 overs. For Japan, Charlie Harahinze scored 36 runs while Gabby Harahinze scored 13 runs.  Nepal's Shubham Khanal took the most five wickets in

bowling. He bowled 10 overs and took five wickets at the expense of only 15 runs. Similarly, Abhay Yadav spent 25 runs in 6 overs and took 2 wickets while captain Bipin Prasad Sharma and Shusil Bahadur Rawal took one wicket each. 

In the first match on Sunday, Nepal won by 6 wickets against Singapore. The target of 139 runs given by Singapore was completed by Nepal losing 4 wickets in 33.3 overs.

The famous Jaisi scored 55 not out for Nepal in that match. Similarly, Raunak Srivastava scored the highest 40 runs. Subham Khanal remained unbeaten and scored 9 runs. Nepal's opener Suryanshu Koirala was retired after scoring 9 runs. Akash Teja took 3 wickets for Singapore. Similarly, Yuvan Pandey took 1 wicket.

Singapore won the toss and elected to bat first in the ongoing match at the UKM Oval Cricket Ground in Malaysia. Captain Rian Nayak contributed the most for Singapore with 53 runs.

Similarly, opener Ahan Bhudhanbham added 38 runs while another opener Roshan Arun got out making 11 runs. Nepal's captain Bipin Sharma took four wickets while defeating Singapore cheaply. Similarly, Sachin Bhatt took three wickets and Shubham Khanal and Abhay Yadav took one wicket each.

10 different teams are participating in the tournament, which was conducted according to the annual schedule of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). In the competition, Nepal is in Group 'A'. Nepal's group includes Singapore, Indonesia, Bhutan and Japan. Similarly, Group B includes host Malaysia, Hong Kong, Maldives, Thailand and Myanmar.
