Sudurpaschim Royals have 'retained' 6 players including national team all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airi for the second edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Sudurpaschim said on Saturday that he has been retained again as a marquee player. Sudurpaschim Royals under the captaincy of Dipendra lost to Janakpur Bolts in the final last season.
By continuing him for this season, the Royals have said through a statement that they have maintained confidence in the effective leadership of Dipendra.
Sudurpaschim has retained Vinod Bhandari, Arif Sheikh, Avinash Bohra, Ishan Pandey and Naren Saud along with the vice-captain of the national team.
Arjun Kumal, Naresh Budhathoki, Khadak Bahadur Bohra, Bhojraj Bhatt, Amit Shrestha and Vasant Khatri have also been released. The team, which has the identity of the Far West, has stated that it aims to further strengthen the team building process.
