The Nepali national cricket team has been announced on Thursday for the ACC Men's U-16 East Zone Cup cricket tournament to be held in Malaysia. Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has announced a 14-member team under the captaincy of Bipin Prasad Sharma for the tournament to be held in Malaysia from June 8 to 21.
The Nepali team includes captain Sharma, vice-captain Suryashu Koirala, Shivansh Bajgain, Raunak Srivastava, Parimarjan Yadav, Abhay Yadav, Sachin Bhatt, Sugam Budhathoki, Suyog Bhattarai, Susil Rawal, Shubham Khanal, famous Jaishi, Joy Thapa and Roshan is royal. 10 different teams including Nepal will participate in the
competition. The participating teams are divided into two groups. Nepal is in Group 'A'. Nepal's group includes Singapore, Indonesia, Bhutan and Japan. Group 'B' includes hosts Malaysia, Thailand, Maldives, Hong Kong and Myanmar.
Nepal will open the tournament by playing against Singapore on June 8. The winner and runner-up from each group will enter the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will compete for the title on June 21.
