Nepal got a small target in the tri-nation Twenty-20 series match against Scotland on Tuesday. After Nepal's captain Rohit Paudel won the toss, Scotland, who came into bat at the Tetwood Cricket Ground in Glasgow, were bowled out for 97 runs in 19.4 overs.

Nepal bowled excellently from the start. Dipendrasingh Airi started to give wickets to Nepal by bowling Mark Watt for 1 run in the first over of the match. In the next over, Karan KC completed his 100 wickets in Twenty20 internationals by dismissing George Muncie. After that, Liam Naylor, who ran for 2 unnecessary runs in the next ball, was run out by Lokesh Bum for 1 run and dominated the game. Karan dismissed Finlay McCrath for 12 runs. Scotland reached 24-5 in the fifth over after Lalit Rajvanshi dismissed Brandon McMullen for 10 runs.

Then Sandeep Lamichhane hit the game . Taking 4 wickets, he came close to hat-trick twice. Sandeep took 4 wickets by spending 11 runs keeping 1 maiden in 4 overs . He bowled Scotland captain Matthew Cross for 15, Christopher McBridge for nil and Jack Jarvis for nil. Sandeep LBW to Safyan Sharif for 6 runs.

Michael Lisk scored the highest 46 runs from Scotland. He played 46 balls and hit 4 fours and 1 six before being bowled by Dipendra in the last over. Dipendra spent 24 runs in 3.4 overs and took 2 wickets.

This is Nepal's second game in the tournament being held in Scotland. Nepal was defeated by Netherlands in three super over matches the previous day. Scotland defeated the Netherlands by 39 runs in the first match of the tournament on Sunday. The Nepali team is playing without the injured fast bowler Nandan Yadav. Basir Ahmed has been played in his place.

This is the first match between Nepal and Scotland in Twenty20 International. In 2013, Scotland defeated Nepal by 8 wickets in the Twenty-20 World Cup Qualifier held in UAE. But at that time, Nepal had not received the international recognition of Twenty-20. In the same selection, Nepal reached the Twenty-20 World Cup for the first time after beating Scotland by 1 run in the group stage.
