Nepal shocked by Laos

Nepal suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat at the hands of Laos in the third round of Asia Cup qualifiers on Tuesday. The performance of the visiting team Nepal in the match at the Lao Stadium in the capital Vientiane was forgettable.

This is the first time that Nepal has lost against Laos in international football. Damoth Thongkhamsabhat opened the scoring in the 13th minute in Laos' victory. Peter Phangthavong added the second goal in the 49th minute of the game.

For Nepal, in the 73rd minute, Manish Dangi scored 1 goal from the penalty, but it was not enough to avoid defeat. Earlier, Nepal was undefeated in six matches between the two countries, but the head coach of the Nepali team, Matt Ross, could not maintain that streak.

Nepal has also taken a bad start in Group 'F' of the third round of qualifying and has suffered its second defeat in a row. Nepal also lost to Malaysia in their first match. Nepal has fallen to the bottom of the four-team group with zero points from two games.
