After Ruben Neves scored the decisive goal in the penalty shootout, Portugal won the Nations League title by defeating Spain on Sunday. The final in Munich ended in a 2-2 draw and went to a tie-breaker, with Portugal winning 5-3.
This is the second time that Portugal has won the Nations League title. Portugal came back to the game after falling behind twice in the regular time competition. Spain took the lead in the beginning with the goal of Martin Zubimendi . Nuno Mendes then equalized for Portugal.
Mikel Ayarzabal scored just before the first half and Spain were back in front . But Cristiano Ronaldo returned the goal and equalized the game . Ronaldo was forced to leave the field due to injury before the end of the scheduled match.
