32 schools are going to compete in the second edition of the Barah SEE Cup inter-secondary football, which was started in Sunsari with the aim of producing players from the school level.

It was informed through a press conference on Friday that 32 schools from Morang and Sunsari will participate in the competition organized by Sky Football Academy in Barah Kshetra-3 of Sunsari from Sunday.

Nadi Rai, guardian of the academy and football coach, informed that only students who have passed SEE will be allowed to play in the competition which will last for three weeks. Suman Karki, president of the academy informed that the winner of the competition to be held at the playground located in Barah Kshetra-3 will get 30,000 cash and the shield and runner-up will get 15,000.

The organizer said that 100 percent scholarship will be provided for the best players of classes 11 and 12. It is said that 75% scholarship will be given to the best in the category and 50% scholarship will be given to the man of the match of each game. Organizers estimate that 3 lakh 50 thousand rupees will be spent to complete the competition.

In the last edition, Nepal Police School Dharan won the title by defeating Siddharth Academy of Barahkshetra-5. The final match of the tournament will be held on June 11.
